Half Marathon

The half marathon course begins on Fairfield Beach Road and heads toward the Southport Harbor. UCAN Edge energy gel will be available at the 8 mile point as the course heads back toward Jennings Beach along the coastline.

Course cut off time: 3 hours and 30 minutes

**As a courtesy to the communities impacted by the races and the volunteers who serve, there is a 3 hour and 30 minute limit for the Half Marathon. To finish within these time limits, runners must maintain a pace of approximately 16:01 minutes per mile. Official finishing times are only recorded through 3:30 hours for the Half Marathon.

Along the Half Marathon racecourse, police officers and traffic volunteers will no longer be controlling vehicular traffic.   Water/aid stations will close down as the race moves beyond a 16:01 minute per mile pace. Runners running beyond Course Time Limits are doing so at their own risk. Please be prepared and carry fluids and energy gel throughout the race if your pace is slower than 16:01 minute mile.

Race staff will begin breaking down the finish line after course time limits. Runners who finish after limits and are not able to collect a finisher medal on site may contact the race office within 48 hours of the event.**
